Verne added, "I've been receiving treatment for the last week and I am voluntarily checking into a treatment center later this week to continue to get the help that I need. The same Facebook post was showered with blessings and well-wishes from Troye's loyal fans; one fan wrote, "While I was sad to hear that you are going back into rehab, I think I can safely speak for many of your friends and family when I say that that we are proud of you for seeing the need for help. So many don't. I can't help but admire your ability to recognize the issue and head it off at the pass. You are smart. You are strong. This, too, shall pass, my friend. We'll see you on the other side."

Verne Troyer Passed Died on April 21, 2018

Despite Verne Troyer's battle with alcoholism, the actor died on April 21, 2022. Verne's official page posted a statement on his Facebook page. In the statement, they wrote,

"It is with great sadness and incredibly heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today. Verne was an extremely caring individual. He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh. Anybody in need, Troyer would help to any extent possible. Verne hoped he made a positive change with his platform and worked towards spreading that message every day."

The statement continued, "Verne Troyer inspired people worldwide with his drive, determination, and attitude. He was there to show everyone what he was capable of doing, on film & television sets, on commercial shoots, at comic cons & personal appearances, to his own YouTube videos. Even though his stature was small and his parents often wondered if Troye would be able to reach up and open doors on his own in his life, he went on to open more doors for himself and others than anyone could have imagined."

"He also touched more people's hearts than he will ever know. Verne was also a fighter when it came to his battles. The family appreciates that they have this time to grieve privately," The official report added.

Lastly, the management added, "Depression and Suicide are severe issues. You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside. Be kind to one another. And always know that it's never too late to reach out to someone for help. Instead of flowers, please feel free to donate in Verne's name to either of his two favorite charities; The Starkey Hearing Foundation and Best Buddies."
