"I feel like actors are the last people to know. I think that people assume that actors are always hiding secrets. I promise you, we don't know anything. But again, if it's the right place, at the right time, with the right group of people that we've been with, I would say, why not? But other than that, whatever happens, happens. Really, those decisions are up to the big bosses, the people who sign the checks. We're open to the idea, but we're not hoping for it."
But there have been theories that Batalon might return as Hobgoblin, a villain in the next Spider-Man movie. The speculation started when he talked about the possibility of a future in an interview. But he cleared things up when he was on Jimmy Fallon's show a few months ago.
Will Jacob Batalon be the next villain in Spider-Man movie? He says fans could make it happen! Jacob's Instagram.
When Jimmy asked, "Some fans think that your character may become a villain somewhere in the Multiverse." Batalon replied, "You know, I'd just like to say, I'm really sorry, everyone. I did this really stupid thing back in 2016 and mentioned it in an interview. And then I stupidly just continued with the story as if like I knew what was going to happen. And now everyone is talking about it. And I just -- I'm sorry for all the misinformation."
Jimmy interrupts to ask what is known as the "Misinformation," to which Jacob said, "There's just a lot of people like the idea, and a lot of people are disgusted by the idea. So I just feel likeI'll do whatever. You know what I mean? But clearly, we know that you love Tom Holland, you love Spider-Man, Of course. But a good story is a good story."
He added, "Nothing beats a good story. Alright, yeah. But, hey, if you guys want it enough, let Marvel know, and we'll figure something out. The fans will do it, you know? Yeah, the fans will make it happen." So, there's still some chances that Ned will be the next Hobgoblin!
