Brian Laundrie, the ex-boyfriend of Gabrielle Petito, aka Gaby Petito, was the person of interest following she went missing in late August 2021. After weeks of her disappearance, Brian broke his silence and released a statement via his attorney, Steve Bertolino.
According to the authority, Gaby’s ex-boyfriend remained a hinder in the investigation after refusing to talk with the detectives. But after months of Gaby’s disappearance, some reports claim Brian Laundrie’s skeletal remains have been found, which sadly implies he is dead.
The new reports claim that Brian Laundrie’s skeletal remains were found in Wyoming, where he and Gaby Petito traveled. The statement by the authority read, “On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T Mabry Carlton Jr Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creed Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie.”
Following the investigation, it was Brian Laundrie’s skeletal remains; A lawyer representing Brian Laundrie’s parents, Chris Laundrie and Roberta Laundrie, released a statement saying they had been informed that the remains were found yesterday [October 21, 2021] in reserve are indeed Brian’s.
Gaby Petito Disappeared, Brian Laundrie Was Person of Interest in Her Disappearance
Gabrielle Petito goes missing in August of 2021; after weeks of her disappearance, her ex-boyfriend, Brian, released a statement via his attorney that read, “We hope that the search for Miss Petito is successful,” that she is reunited with her family.
The statement came on September 14, 2021, but Brian never bothered to talk with the detectives about Petito’s disappearance, following which he was a person of interest in her missing. Gaby Petito’s remains were found in Wyoming in a national forest; Petito’s death was ruled a homicide by manual strangulation.
Brian Laundrie is Reportedly Dead Too
Brian Laundrie went missing on September 13, 2021, the day before the statement came from the family following Gaby’s disappearance. “They are human remains, no doubt there. I would say that the remains were consistent with one individual, you know skeletal remains,” Josh Taylor said.
Further investigation also found a backpack and a notebook belonging to Brian Laundrie near the remains. Police Spokesperson, Josh Taylor, said, “The Notebook, to my understanding, has not been opened. You Know, that will need to be processed.”
