Amazon Prime Video recently launched the first look at Supernatural star Jensen Ackles in his superhero suit. This was probably one of the most awaited things from ‘The Boys” and Ackles’s fans more than the season itself.

According to Variety, the super suit was of the Soldier Boy is designed by Laura Jean Shannon and was the concept of artist Greg Hopwood. With a hint of military green, Shannon calls the suit “The Original Bad-Ass.”

During the press release, Laura Jean said, “Our goal was to highlight a bygone era of overt masculinity and grit. With that pedigree we dove headfirst into baking in an all-American quality grounded in a military soldier’s practicality with a heavy dose of old school cowboy swagger.”

“We knew that the actor had to have Steve McQueen looks and chops with a John Wayne attitude — luckily Jensen Ackles embodies all of that,” Shannon added.

Ackles will appear on the third season of ‘The Boys.” The series is inspired by a comic book, Ackles character, “The Soldier Boy,” who was created by Compound V in the 1940s to fight in World War II.

According to the comic book, Jensen’s character became the first super celebrity and a mainstay of American culture after killing dozen German soldiers. He was the leader of Payback and the second-strongest superhero behind Seven.

Earlier, we saw Ackles working too hard for the gains for his upcoming role. He even joked being a superhero is real tough job than wearing a flannel shirt. While Eric Kripke, the creator of the show, rests confidence on Ackles and his character.

Eric said, “When I cast Jensen as Soldier Boy, the first thing I said was, ‘I’m most excited for you, because of the amazing process you’ll go through with LJ, our Super Suit designer.’ It took six months but the experience surpassed Jensen’s expectations. L.J. has made a work of art that tips its hat to the WWII Soldier Boy from the comics, while taking it in a sleek new direction.”

“And if you think the photos are cool, just wait till you see Jensen in action. It’s one of my very favorite suits. Also, now you can quit clogging my Twitter notifications with demands to see it,” Kripke added.
