Brittany Murphy was an American actress and singer from Los Angeles, California. The actress was originally from Atlanta but moved to LA to pursue a career in music and acting. Murphy was known for her roles in the movie "Clueless" as "Tai Frasier."
Starting her theater career in the late 90s, Brittany Murphy made her Broadway debut in 1997, which landed her a job in Hollywood. After the impressive performance, Murphy was selected for the role of "Brenda Drexell on "Drexell's Class."
It certainly seemed Brittany was going places in her career; she landed one after another major role in the film industry, including her second teen comedy film, Clueless. At the time, she was just fifteen years old.
Brittany Murphy gave us a series of hit movies and series, including her stint "Drop Dead Gorgeous," and also did a voice acting for "Luanne Platter on Fox's "King of the Hill" from 1997 to 2009. Sadly, Annie Award-nominated voice actor passed away the same year.

The official report stated the "Clueless" actress died in a bathroom; however, the cause of death had been a subject of speculations for many months.

When the news of Brittany Murphy's death came out, fans were left shocked, thinking that it might be a hoax; unfortunately, it was real. The news didn't even get the coverage as it was supposed to, leaving people to speculate about her death. Some even blamed her then-husband, Simon and Murphy's mother, Sharon.
After Brittany's death, her mother and Monjack lived together and made a very odd appearance on Larry King Live. Simon even said Murphy's autopsy was unnecessary, which fueled the people's doubt even more.
Lack of media coverage led to plenty of conspiracy theories about Brittany Murphy's death. However, the new HBO Max's documentary, "What Happened, Brittany Murphy," cleared doubts to some extent.
On the show, we saw LA Coroner's office and Police Department in 2012 found Brittany Murphy's hair contained a dangerous amount of lead; however, the lead had nothing to do with her death as the report stated it came from her "hairspray or hair dye," but no lead or mold spores were found in her system during the autopsy.
According to the reports, Brittany Murphy's cause of death was "pneumonia," with contributing factors of iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. The coroner said she would have survived had she been brought to a hospital the days before her death while she was suffering from pneumonia and having trouble breathing.
